Project Management
Operational project management is sometimes a case of bringing in additional resource to help manage a project to allow the day job to get the attention and focus it requires. We have led and been involved in many operational projects through our careers. We can help support, we have learned many valuable lessons!
Project management is about knowing exactly what your goals are.
Establishing:
A) How you are going to achieve them.
B) What resources will be needed.
C) The time required to reach the specific goal.
The key to a successful project is implementing organisation from start to finish. Structure is essential. Creating a project plan and as said before engaging all stakeholders is key.
Most projects go through the following steps;
Discover what the client needs to determine the project’s goals.
Create a plan that will tell you what needs to be done, by whom, how much it will cost, and when the project should be delivered.
Start Doing!
Check progress to the initial plan, identify problems, counter measure problems.
Deliver the project and close all contracts once you get the client’s approval.
